MX922 creates duplicate file scans

Scanning with IJ Scan Utility has recently begun creating duplicate pdf and jpg files. The only "solutions" I've found in this forum aren't practical for me and are unusable: 1) Return all Settings to factory default or 2) use Image Garden (never will use ImagGarden as it's extremely slow and clunky). I never had any issues in several previous years of use. Anyone with a solution that works in the real world? Thanks! (Win7, 32-bit)


How to print in black/white using Canon MG3620

I have tried multiple suggestions I found for other printers with no luck.

 

I need to use ONLY black ink.  I was printing in black/white just fine but all the sudden it started turning red and yellow.  It made me think I was perhaps using black and color ink.  I tried switching to grayscale but it prints the words in black and no image.  I am out of color ink.  I just ran out.  I thought i would be able to use only black ink to print.  Can anyone tell me how to do this.  

 

I have set my powerpoint print to black/white and black/white and it didn't work.

I have set it to grayscale and it has blank page where an image should be but does print the black text

I have tried findiing a black/white setting or grayscale setting on the printer itself, in settings, and cannot find anything

I have tried turning the pp presentation into a pdf, exporting it and printing from there - didn't work, same outcome as above

 

I am using a MAC OSX 10.11.3 El Captain with this wireless printer

 

Odd thing is it was working printing only in black/white but when the color ink ran out that is when I figured out I wasn't really using only the black ink.  

 

Can anyone help?  I know you get tired of the same questions.  I just can't seem to fix this.  Maybe it's not fixable and I will have to buy more color ink to print in just black/white.  If that's the case please just let me know and we'll call it good.

PIXMA MG3560 - Changed wifi network, macbook wont reconnect to printer

I moved house and so unplugged my printer and now using a new wifi network. I cannot get my macbook to reconnect to print by wifi or even with the cable. Pls help.

I just spoke with Canon Technical Support.  We solved the issue by tapping to Setup-> Device settings Perform various settings-> Firmware update-> Update notification setting-> and Turn Off Firmware Update Notifications:

 

"Do you want to periodically check whether there is the latest firmware on the server and receive a notification?"

 

Select "No"

 

You will now have to manually check for firmware updates in the future.

 

Guess it's a bug in the firmware for this printer.

Hi I'am new to this but there are youtube videos that show how to remove and replace the print head after cleaning hope this helps!   this is my first day here hope I did this right just turned 75years old maybe I'am wrong! Let me know.

Hello,

 

My MG5320 will only print blank pages. I have tried every troubleshooting tip. I just spent $70 (!) to replace the cartridges, so it definitely has ink. It makes all the sounds as if it is printing and runs the paper through, but there is nothing on it. Trying to run a nozzle check pattern or any other maintenance yields the same result.

 

The printer seems to be operating fine, so I suspect that Canon has simply decided not to update or support the drivers so that we're all forced to buy new printers. I can guarantee you that whatever I buy, it won't be a Canon.

I found a way around it for the Iphone. If you save your picture in i books and open up ibooks on your phone and select print it will give you print options and pring from the lower deck Smiley Happy 

Waste of money on ink and on the printer!!!

Need a printer for some very important business and purchased the Pixima MG2525. Also puchased one color and two black ink cartridges. Now after a full day of trying to talk to someone the printer has pre set margins and they are not even. Left .13 Top .12 Right .13 Bottom .66. So I cant even act like there is a **bleep** boarder aroun the page because it looks bush leauge. I will never buy Canon products again. Thanks for not only wasting my time but also my money!

Hi,

 
 
I noticed that the paper that is printing does not come out completely and stays a little inside the wheels that push it, so the second / third / fourth paper sticks and does not fall into the slot of the printed paper.

It's a paper matter or a blight because it's the first time that's happening to me.

Also when i make duplex printing on 10 pages for example, the printer will not print one page duplex(it prints only one side and the other leaves it blank.As a result i will miss this page and will not printing on the other page.).
I have an error that sais paper jamming but no paper jammed.
Any help?

My MG 7720 just quit printing magenta. The ink cartridge is almost full. i replaced it and still no magenta. I cleaned the heads several times and tried to print an entire sheet of paper magenta and it printed it yellow. I believe that is correct except that the magenta is missing for the mixed color. Anyone have any ideas? Also is there a way to reset the firmware on this thing? Thanks.

The PIXMA MG3520 is the model that is supported here in the US. To enable or disable the WiFi on the US model should be very similar to the one you're using. Check out THIS LINK for instructions.
