Thanks. This was the solution I needed. It would be nice if Canon would inform us when they are going to rename a tool or do away with one and replace it with another. The MP Navigator does do the same thing as the IJ scan tool, but I think I liked the IJ scan tool better.

I just installed my new TS8050. Printing works just fine, but I can't scan.
I have updated the printer's firmware to 1.150
I operate under Windows 10. I have installed Canon Quick Menu v2.7.1
The printer is connected to the same Linksys WiFi router than my PC. The printer screen says I have 59% signal strength.
I don't have any pb printing.
When I select 'Printer Status' in Canon Quick Menu, I get all the info (see screen shot). So far, there is no pb.
Now I want to scan and things get out of control:
When I launch ScanGear, I hear the scanner moving. But I get the error 2 157 50 as you can see below.
I've tried to deactivate my firewall (Kaspersky), but then I get a different error from ScanGear: 5,167,59
I have tried to use Paint to scan, but it's not working either: when I ask for the preview, I can hear the scanner moving, and after a long wait, Paint says it is 'unable to get the image from the device'.
I have also tried to launch a scan from the printer's own touch screen. I chose 'save to computer', I select my PC, and press on the green logo. I can hear the scanner move, but after a while, I get the same 2 157 50 error.
I have logged with the PC's admin profile and the pb remains.
It looks to me like the file of the scanned image itself can't travel from the Canon to the PC. Weird. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Using the canon PIXMA E470 and want to print a photo on A4 size glossy paper but the printer keeps showing error 4102 .[The media type and paper size are not set correctly.]. And the printer only allows 4x6 or 5x7 paper. Is there a way to print on A4 size photo paper anyway?

I'd like to print it in a convenient format using minimum paper please
My friend has the above printer and it is printing everything in Pink. I printed an excel page with blocks of colour and this was mainly pink with some blue streaks. Then after doing the deep clean the cyan ink became low on ink and the print was all pink.
I have looked at the cartriges and they are all in the right place. The printer is reading the ink levels and there don't appear to be any blockages.
Any ideas ?

I just bought a multifounction PIXMA.
When I shut off the printer, the paper tray retarcts automatically, but the operation panel stays opened.
According to the tutorial videos, it should retract automatically.
Did any one encountered the same issue ?

I will never buy another product from you again. I purchased a MG3500, it has been nothing but trouble. The paper never fed correctly and now there are ongoing issues with the printer ink. This is the worst product with little QA. Yes I'm a techie, I can tell when a product has been poorly manufactured.
The time and money wasted is not worth another penny of my money. I hope enough people see this message and never purchase a printer from you again. Here is how pushing bad products affects us:
I needed to print important insurance papers for a deadline, I can't because your printer is malfunctioning and doesn't think there is any ink
The reset instructions don't work not to mention I wasted money purchasing additional cartdridges because I believed the false reading
The last time I had major problems I was ill, I had to print 10 pages, which took roughly 2 hours of troubleshooting then hand feeding
The two hours I spent tonight means I've not been able to work which means I now need to cram in two more hours tomorrow
Now because I've given up on your printer, I have to spend time I don't have shopping for another printer and I don't feel well and I don't want to carry too much weight.
This is why you've lost a loyal customer. I will never purchase another canon product, you are too high maintenance.
I have a Windows 10 PC and also have this problem. I am unable to follow the instructions given. The following is not available:
"2. Click on Scan on the left hand side.
3. Click on Driver at the top.
4. When ScanGear appears, please click on the Advanced Mode tab."
There is no scan on the left hand side
I can select the dpi from the front of the scanner, but it doesn't matter what I select the scanned document is too light. Is there no setting to darken an image while scanning?

I have a Pixma MG3250 printer and recently it has been acting up. Firstly, the printer is no longer able to print double sided automatically), it gets stuck inside the printer and a paper jam occurs despite there being no foreign objects inside the printer. Also, despite having ink, the printer wouldn't print out a document from Word. I also tried printing it out from Publisher but it didn't work. The only way I was able to print out what I needed is by printing out an email containing what the text. I've tried printing out images and the printer does that perfectly fine.

I have a new Canon Pixma MX925 printer. I want to register an account for webservice on-line photo-album.
After choosing "register account"I get an messages on the printer-window stating that "Searching for available servers" is being execured and next "Cannot connect to server. Wait and try again"
So I cannot register an online webservice. I do have an Canon account on the Canon Gateway.
Connecting to the Google cloudprinter is succesfull and shows no problem.
Suggestion on the internet to change ip-adres for IP-4 into 8.8.8.8 does not solve the problem.
Internet connection from the printer seem OK while Google cloudprinter works.
Printer is connected directly to the router with wired connection.
Please does anyone have a solution?

I have just changed my black ink cartridge - all checked beforehand, correct cartridge etc. Went to test print and I am receiving the error printer not responding.
I have checked previous messages on here about turning off computer and printer and restarting - done all that to no avail.
Please can you let me know how to fix this problem.

Right I have restarted my LAN and now it appears to be working - Hurrah! However, my newly installed black ink cartridge is not working and it keeps defaulting to the colour cartridge. Any ideas on how to fix this???

Windows 10, wifi connection.
The printer worked fine for a long time. Now the "print" command makes the printer come to life, then it pauses, then it prints part of a page, pauses, and ejects the sheet. Today it doesn't print anything at all; it just ejects one or two blank sheets.
I restarted both it and the computer. That didn't help.
Any suggestions?
