MG7520 Error Light
Hopefully someone can help!! I have a MG7520 and when I went to print I noticed that the error light was on solid along with the power indicator. I have been trying everything I can find online to fix the issue however no luck. How can I get this thing to work????

Canon PIXMA 495 Won't Scan After OS Update on Mac

I updated my mac OS and now the scanner won't work. I have installed the latest drivers. Any thoughts. I'm running Sierra 10.12.6

Re: MG7520 Error Light
Hi Mike4,
Most errors also have an alphanumeric support code. If you tap the printer screen, it should wake up and display the support code in red across the top and may also include basic instructions for clearing the error.
If the screen does not wake up, turn the printer off and unplug it for 1-2 minutes. When you plug it back in and turn it on, the error should be displayed.
If you are still unable to clear the error, please reply with the support code for additional assistance.

Everything that comes on the installation CD, is also available for download from the Canon website.
- Disconnect the USB cable.
- Click HERE.
- Scroll down to "Recommended."
- Click “Select” next to "iX6500 series Printer Driver."
- Press "Download."
- Open and run the file.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
The installation program will prompt you when to reconnect the USB cable.

Pixma MG2522 Printer used on Chromebook.
Hello, I recently got a Pixma MG2522 printer and im trying to get it to connect to my Chromebook. Which is not windows or mac. Hopefully you know what it is because im not good with computers. My printer does not connect to wifi of course. Ive tried to go to the website to download the software for the printer but its only for windows, Macbook, Windows rt, i believe. Im hoping someone can help me figure this out. it kind of weird. I believe when i plug the USB cord into my computer it shows up as a Canon MG2500 series (USB). I click on that and then it says Add Printer Manually. So I click Canon under "Manufacturer" but i dont see my printer option under Model. Which i assume the model is MG2522? or it says "or specify your own driver" which i dont know what that means. Please help....

I have opened a word document to test it. when i go to print i change the destination to the printers name and click print and it says print successful but i never recieve it.

Re: Trying to set up my MX922 Fax via router/modem and phone # set up thru my tv/internet provider.
Fax was working fine when using Fios, once I switched to Optimum my fax has not worked. I keep getting a Line Busy message I even tried faxing the number Canon had to test the fax and received the same print out that the Line Busy. your help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi--
I've been experiencing this purple issue as well. I had success by printing in grayscale. (If you want to see real levels of despair, check out the threads here on how to print in grayscale.) I've got an MX922, and the way I get grayscale is to try to print a document, which brings up a print box. The rest of this is via Mac OS; might be slightly different if you have Windows. In the print box, the third pulldown menu from the top says "copies and pages"; if I pull down that menu, one of the options is "quality and media." Select "quality and media," and check the checkbox at the bottom which says "grayscale." Then go back to the main print box, and the second pulldown menu has to do with presets; you can pull down to the option "save current option as preset," which you can name "grayscale"--or whatever. That way, when you get the print box in the future, you have a grayscale preset.
Anyway, forcing grayscale solved the purple problem for me (at least for black-and-white documents, don't know what I'll get if I try printing in color, thank goodness I don't need that very often); I hope it works for you. Good luck!

I can't believe Canon has let this go on. For those with the U052 error that can't be fixed, throw it over the counter at a Canon repair outlet and go buy another brand. Send Canon a clear and consise message that you are the customer!

Printer Set Up TS6020 not Working After Changing Router Settings
Just bought this printer last week . Worked great until I hooked my router up to a new PC and had to reset the router. Now the printer won't work. Comparing the printer Network Configuration Pages from when it worked and today - the WIRELESS LAN Connection says Inactive - but it actually is active. How can I get the printer to recognize the LAN? I typed it in manually in set up, but it fails. Thank you.

Never mind - I figured it out - I was trying to use 5GHz band vs 2.4 and it wouldn't work - when I changed to the lower band speed - presto - it's working on 3 devices. Jeesh - that only took 2 hours ![Smiley Sad]( "Smiley Sad")

Re: mx 922 won't scan
My problem isn't that my MX922 won't scan -- the issue is that it doesn't do so in true color.
I used it to print a saved file of a dark-green sign; the print came out dark green, as it should have.
I then scanned that printout, and sent the file to my computer; for some reason, the green was noticeably lighter. Other colors in the sign were similarly muted. Scan resolution was at 300dpi.
I printed out this new image scanned from the first print. The second print was, again, a good deal lighter than the first.
To see if it was a printer/computer disagreement (I'd heard there may be some issues interfacing with Windows 10), I took the computer out of the loop entirely, and simply had the printer COPY the original printout, again at 300dpi. This time, the colors were noticeably DARKER than the original, to the point that the dark green was almost black.
Are you aware of any reports of the Canon MX922 not scanning in true color?

I have a Pixma MG5550 It will print all colours but the black prints lines in double every now and again like a shadow. I have tried cleaning and alignment process but none of it makes any difference. How can I cure the problem?
