So, I bought this printer in May. And it worked good! I was using it on my desktop, then used it on my laptop. When I put it back on the desktop, it started giving me issues.
I have uninstalled and re-installed it three times. It does the Test Print page with no problems, but when I go to actually print something it says Printer Not Responding.
Does anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this?

I also have a Canon MX860 with the 6C10 error code. I have followed your directions and still receieve the error. I'd like to utilize the upgrade program but every time I call the 866 number, it tells me they're closed. I called last night at 11pm EST and this morning at 8:45 am EST. Are the operating hours you have listed below EST?

I have a MX-892 and new laptop with win10. I can't get it to scan from laptop and also printer doesn't see laptop on network when trying to scan from it.
Previously, I used solutionex menu to initiate the scan from my laptop. I have installed this but no scanning funtions are on it? I have also tried installing MP Navigator and that tells me my printer is not one on the list for that software.
I can print without issues.
Could someone please help me? I gave reset printer settings to factory. uninstalled and reinstalled all drivers, etc... When I use the windows 10 scan tool it doesn't see it either.

I would like to share my exprience with a similar printer, the TS8340 which comes with the same connectivity issue on Catalina 15.0.7
For the "failed to open a connection to the device (-21345)" error, the fix was to configure my wifi network with IPv6 protocol.
My wifi settings was configured with Ipv4 only, it seems the printer communicates only with your mac with UPv6 enable
Click on the WiFi icon -> Open network preferences -> Wifi -> Advanced -> TCP/IP -> Configure IPv6: Automatically
Canon IJ scan utility work now along with Apple image capture.
The trick for me was to therefore enable Ipv6

I am having this same issue, and I followed Ramona's steps, but it just goes back to saying "PC Scan Standby," Clicking the Start button just results in "Please wait a while."

FYI, this is an older computer, but I've used it to scan before, with no problems. I am able to print just fine, so it seems the problem is that it can't find the PC?

I have printed labels for a couple of years at Christmas on this printer with no problems.
Howver this year, when I print a "proof" and align it with a label up to the light the proof aligns perfectly with all the addresses in each box with margins top and bottom. However, when I insert the actual label the addresses are printed up by about one or two lines and overlap the edges of each of the labels.
I am using an apple computer and printing through Contacts. I get the same issue with either an iMac or Macbook.
It would suggest to me that it is a printer issue .....but what?
I did every cleaning process. I deleted the driver and reinstalled it. Still no luck. What is this Upgrade option and how do you do it? Is there a discount?
How can I connect my Canon MX472 printer with a chromebook?
When i pull down the flap labeled Canon it does not come down far enough. I need to turn the cartridge sideways and then straighten it back up after I get past the flap.
When I view YouTube videos showing this procedure they all seem to show the flap swinging far enough so cartridge can be inserted without being turned sideways.
Anyone have this problem? Am I doing something wrong?
We've been using the TS6220 for about three years. We've always used it over Wi-Fi, with the printer located about 3 feet MOL from the router on the same desk.
Previously we were using AT&T U-Verse (DSL) internet and had very few issues with connectivity or functionality.
Ever since we "upgraded" to a faster cable internet connection we've been having trouble with the printer--25% of the time it prints normally, 25% it prints but with long delays, and 50% it says the printer is off-line even when it isn't. That is annoying but most of the time we've been able to get it to work eventually.
The bigger problem is with the scanner, which we've been able to use successfully maybe only 25% of the time. Below is the error message we get. Again--when the printer should be online (we verify Wi-Fi connection, at 86% signal strength the last time I checked).
We've done all the usual things--turned printer on and off multiple times, tried selecting different document types to scan, even uninstalled & reinstalled all the drivers & software and performed printer setup twice. No luck.
Anyone have any ideas? If you're going to suggest a local connection with USB, well, somehow that's the *one* cable we haven't managed to hold on to though I know we have used it sometime since purchase. Also, that wouldn't solve the issue in the long run because we always used it via Wi-Fi before and that's our preference.

It is a Mx922 i also have error code 5011. Printer is about 2 years old.

I solved this problem by replacing the PGBK cartridge. Apparently the cartridge they sent with the printer was non-functional.
This worked! The trick was the part about the Common Settings on the printer. Thank you!

I just upgraded the operatig system on my macbook pro to 10.13.6 (High Sierra). Now the MP navigator app, which i just downloaded wont open and gives me an error message that says my printer (MX870) isn't listed/supported.
The printer is actually working ok. I just want to figure out how to use the printer for scanning now, and without the software working I can't use the scanner.
